All riders under the age of 18 are required to wear an SEI certified safety helmet during their ride. W.A can provide loaner helmets and new/unused SEI helmets can be purchased through our gift shop. Riders 18 years + retain the option to wear a helmet however it's always encouraged.

Can I bring my dog?

No. W.A has our own pups who feel very passionately about their home. Additionally, not all dogs are comfortable around horses and several of our herd are afraid of dogs. In an effort to keep the work space as safe as possible, W.A observes a strict NO DOGS policy.

Do you teach English or Western?

Yes. This is a complex question because the training curriculum at W.A is a mix of multiple training styles and disciplines. Many concepts overlap and many may conflict with previous training. At the heart of all our classes is the horse's comfort and well-being. The short answer is that our classes are predominately taught from a Western saddle and employ Dressage Principles.

What should I get my rider as a good gift?

We recommend anything rider-related.

  • Gloves

  • boots

  • helmet

  • winter wear

  • socks - This one is super popular.

  • Check our in-house Gift Shop (Mootique)

We do not recommend saddle pads, bridles, saddles, grooming items, or anything horse-related as individuals are all different and equine pathogens are often transferred through "shared" items.
