Service Description

For ages 7+ years: All horses are different and we recognize the importance of starting from scratch. Whether you are a seasoned equestrian trying a new discipline or new to the horse industry entirely, we happily slow down and give each of our guests a chance to get their barring's. These private classes are geared to introduce riders to the basics of western horsemanship. Included in these sessions is: A)pre-ride & post-ride grooming & body care instruction B)in-hand ground training C)mounted training - and introduction to isolated gross and fine motor applications D) post-ride feeding (in accordance with the lesson schedule) E)intro to equine psychology and culture - reading the subtle signals that mean very big things to our horses. F)Equine and Rider safety Riders are shown how to read their horse and communicate back with the appropriate respect as well as assess when their horse needs "more" or "less". Students are introduced to horses trained "off-the-bit" - i.e. horses with a preference for leg and seat ques over hand-aids. Riders are also introduced to concepts like posture, frame, and basic handling ques. We encourage our guests to ride in jeans and their favorite Tee! If you love it, you can join our Tuition Tribe and gain exclusive access to camps, demos, workshops, field trips, trail rides, and horse show opportunities. Tuition/weekly classes can be determined upon request before guests leave the barn. Private lessons are not available to book on a tuition schedule, but can be booked here on our website as often as guests would like.
