Our program is specifically designed to help match equines with their perfect partners. Unlike the common operations that are dictated by overhead and profit margins, W.A slows the training process down for our equines. This slower more intentional protocol produces individuals with behavior retention that follows them all the way home!

The Training Protocol
When the past marries the present
The Introduction
All W.A horses follow the same introduction regardless of any previous training. This ensures a common foundation to build from. Evaluations on emotional regulation, compliance, and disciplinary exposure are observed in the early days. This could take between a few days to months. Every individual is different and W.A recognizes that need for individualized handling.
Back to basics
After a new face has taken their time adjusting to our way of life, it's back to basics! All our prospects undergo a refresh as if they're fillies and colts again. Baby horse concepts like giving to pressure and aids becomes a focus along with horsemanship concepts like recovery & reading intention. This time is spent slowly allowing pony to process under the professional supervision of a trainer 1-on-1.
Joining the ranks
At some point, individuals will eventually graduate from private 1-on-1 professional refreshment to intro to Advanced Riding Student exposure in Academy classes. From there, through exposure therapy & general reptation, our horses and ponies learn to eventually work with all levels of riders. At a pace they set, lesson concepts will encompass both horse and rider educational needs.
