W.A is a private farm tucked in the woods just off the Durham, NC city limit. Our Co-op community welcomes all breeds and disciplines. Owners are encouraged to feed, practice, and love their horse(s) their own way with no obligation to contract for training or lease their horse to our lesson program. Our low-key ranch setting includes Live-in barn manager for 24/7 observation and water troughs are cleaned and scrubbed regularly. Arena (90x36) access and stall signs are all included in monthly boarding fees. Self-Care boarders do all their own daily feeding and maintenance and share an equine friendly facility built for community over competition. Owners are welcome to share our barnyard with guests and enjoy our private playground. Self-serve farmer's harvest stand is available to all our guests with a payment box posted beside the table.
COMING SOON: Mare Motel with 4 private runs for feeding etc. Optional hay storage and tack storage units. Obstacles training yard complete with bridges and poles. Trail extensions.

W.A boarding is a Co-op boarding community that operates well with owners looking for personal space to manage their horse(s). Our Boarding openings are NOT for "full care", "working lease", "labor trade", or for owners looking for stalls or "stall rotation". Barn manager lives on site but is not "barn staff". Inclement weather and vacation limited care services can be provided at an extra cost. Outside trainers and instructors are not permitted to teach or train on W.A Riding Academy property.
