About the event
Learn the 411 to basic equine care- understanding equine nutrition, pasture management, social & physical requirements, basic first aid, how to navigate a sales ad, how to construct a re-sale ad, "red" & "green" flag purchase points, seasonal worming, toxic plants, arena footing & management, how to be a good client for your VET/Farrier/service providers, etc.
These workshops are discussion-based places for guests to ask their questions and get feed-back. It's common for the first-time horse owner to get overwhelmed. Horses, no matter their size or breed, are a huge undertaking and the horse industry can sometimes be an unwelcoming place for a beginner learner. No question is "silly" in this classroom and guests are encouraged to being their pads and paper as we debunk, uncover, and discuss the other 99% of what life is like when we become horse owners.
