About the event
Learning to prepare our horse for the upcoming ride is pivotal to any horseman's career. There's much more to it than throwing a saddle on and riding off into the sunset.
This workshop slows the process down and discusses skin care, proper installation of equipment, fastening, tying, buckling, and fitting pony to promote the best ride possible. Included in this workshop is a demonstration of both ENGLISH and WESTERN tack, intro to types of brushes and their functions, how to lift and clean feet without pain, how to check the "fit" on a saddle, bridle, bit, and rider seat, and brief optional hands-on interactive allowing participants to TRY IT OUT!
*signed release and $50 registration fee guarantees participation. Disclaimer, this is NOT a riding workshop. Open to all ages.
