Like our predecessors and many of our peers, W.A Riding Academy offers a niche classroom with a detailed focus on what we specialize in! Horsemanship is a discipline based on the mutual respect, boundaries, language, and most importantly willingness. Horsemanship is as much for the horse as it is for the rider, thus promoting a healthier partnership.

Training the Trainer
Unlike traditional lesson settings, the W.A Riding Academy classroom brings into focus the equine perspective and allows students to A) break away from the 'horseman's fantasy"; i.e. the fairy tale that horses are subservient by nature and share in our human mannerisms
and...B) discover new ways to encourage soft cooperation that do not force our horses to rely on treat-bribes or fear of the unknown to prompt reactions. W.A lessons are a classroom designed by horsemen for horses to learn not just how to ride under saddle but thrive!
